FAQ
Common questions about custom railings.
- Most residential railings fall between $180–$350 per linear foot installed, depending on material, finish, and complexity. We provide a fixed-fee quote within 24 hours of a site visit — no hourly billing surprises.
- Typical lead time is 2–4 weeks: 24-hour quote turnaround, ~1 week shop fabrication, ~1–2 days on-site install. Rush projects can sometimes be accommodated — ask.
- For longevity in GTA winters, we recommend hot-dip galvanized mild steel with a powder-coat topcoat, or 316 stainless near salt spray. Aluminum is a lighter, lower-cost alternative that we also install.
- We handle the structural design in-house — Hafiz is a Mechanical Engineer (M.Eng) and stamps every drawing. If you have an architect or designer, we work directly from their spec.
- Powder-coat (any RAL color, matte or satin), hot-dip galvanizing, brushed stainless, blackened steel patina, and architectural bronze. We can show physical samples on the site visit.
- Five years on workmanship and structural integrity. Coatings carry the manufacturer warranty (typically 10–25 years for powder-coat over hot-dip galvanizing).
